Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the last film in the seven-book and eight-movie saga starring everyone's favorite young wizard, premieres at 12:01 a.m. Friday at theatres throughout the country. There's sure to be a large and enthusiastic turnout. With school out, many area young people don't need to worry about getting up early the next morning, but how young is too young?

Are midnight premieres inappropriate for younger kids? When is the best time to take your Potter-loving 10-year-old to see the film — at midnight with hundreds of adults and teenagers, or later during the weekend?
