Rain to Continue Through Weekend

Forecast calls for off and on rain and possible thunderstorms, putting a damper on some weekend plans. But Monday will be nice!

Rain, rain, go away ... it's a common refrain being heard from lots of folks around town sick of the days of off-and-on rain showers and thunderstorms.

So, with a wet weekend ahead of us, what do you have planned? Standing in the rain at a soccer game? Staying inside to clean out closets?

Here's a look at the forecast from the National Weather Service for the rest of the weekend with some good news come Monday:

Today: Occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. High near 76. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Tonight: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. South southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. 
Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. West southwest wind around 5 mph. 
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. West wind between 3 and 11 mph.
