Register for Apple Island Tour at Open House

It's Monday. The weekend just ended. However, it's always fun to look ahead at what's going on in and around town for the next weekend. We are going to pick some of the fun events daily to help you plan and count down until it's the weekend again.

Why go: The docent-led Apple Island tour by the Historical Society is a spring tradition in West Bloomfield which ties together historical education and the environment. This year's trips will be held May 19-20 ($15 for adults, $10 for children 12 years and under). Sign-ups are only at the Orchard Lake Road museum and this Sunday, the museum will be open for its' monthly open house. The theme will be Apple Island. Check out everyday products and items from the past that are typically no longer used today. Take the Mystery Items challenge by seeing if you can determine what each object is and what it was used for.
