Severe Thunderstorms Possible Through Sunday

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 1 a.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK, has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for 11 counties in southeastern Michigan, including Oakland County, until 1 a.m. Sunday.

During a severe thunderstorm watch, conditions are favorable for development of severe weather, reports the National Weather Service.

If a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the National Weather Service advises residents to stay indoors and away from areas with loose items that could become flying debris.
