This Week in West Bloomfield: 5 Things to Know

Patch will be covering elections and football in the Greater West Bloomfield area this week.

Five local stories to keep an eye on Nov. 4-10:

1. The Orchard Lake St. Mary's varsity Eaglets continue their quest to repeat as state champions in the third round of the Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs. After drubbing Avondale at home this past Saturday afternoon, the Eaglets earned a date with Detroit East English Village Prep at home, kicking off 1 p.m. Saturday.

2. The Nov. 6 general election is less than 48 hours away. Besides picking between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama as President, voters will decide on a slate of state proposals, county and state leaders, local ballot initiatives, and candidates for various levels of representation in West Bloomfield, Sylvan Lake, Orchard Lake Village and Keego Harbor.
