Music: Josh Nelson in Concert

  • When: 7 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: Temple Beth El (7400 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield Hills)
  • Cost: Free
  • Why Go: Josh Nelson, one of the most popular performers in modern Jewish music, will perform a free concert this weekend in Bloomfield Hills. Nelson's music has been described as "progressive, high-octane Jewish rock."

Easter: Spring Fling Egg Hunt

  • When: 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Friday
  • Where: Drake Sports Park
  • Cost: $10 for residents; $12 for non-residents; $15 day of
  • Why Go: Are you ready to hunt for some Easter eggs? The West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation office is hosting two spring fling egg hunts this year. The first begins at 6:30 p.m. for kids ages 1-6, while older kids can hunt for eggs in the dark at 8:30 p.m. — make sure you bring your flashlight! Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be there for pictures and kids should bring their own basket. Pre-registration is required: visit www.westbloomfieldparks.org or call 248-451-1900. The event takes place rain or snow, so dress accordingly.

Family: Mom 2 Mom Sale

  • When: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: West Bloomfield High School
  • Cost: $1
  • Why Go: Find new and gently used baby and kids clothes, toys, furniture and more at the West Bloomfield Community Education's Mom 2 Mom Sale. Plus, if you have too many toys laying around that your kids have outgrown, tables are available for $25-$35. Call 248-865-6463, email nalepaa@wbsd.org or stop by the West Bloomfield Community Education Office at 5810 Commerce Rd. to register for your table.

Theater: 'The Little Mermaid Jr.'

  • When: 7 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: Orchard Lake Middle School
  • Cost: $10 in advance; $12 at the door
  • Why Go: See the students of Orchard Lake Middle School show off their stuff on the stage in this presentation of The Little Mermaid, Jr. Tickets can be purchased in advance during students' lunch hours.

Easter: Glow Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: 5:15 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: Sylvan Lake Community Center (2456 Pontiac Dr., Sylvan Lake)
  • Cost: Free
  • Why Go: Hunt eggs this Easter with your neighbors in Sylvan Lake. The egg hunt for those under 4 years old starts at 5:15 p.m. while the egg hunt for those older than 5 starts at 6 p.m.

Outdoors: Open Barn

  • When: Noon Saturday
  • Where: Bowers School Farm (1219 E. Square Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills)
  • Cost: Free though there are small charges for various activities
  • Why Go: Enjoy life on the farm by spending the afternoon with a variety of activities, such as Easter egg hunts, animal feeding, pony rides, crafts and more.

Family: Euchre Fundraiser

  • When: 5 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: William M. Costick Activities Center (28600 W 11 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills)
  • Cost: $35
  • Why Go: Love euchre? Play with some good friends and raise money for a good cause at the Costick Activities Center's euchre fundraiser. Tickets include dinner, two drink tickets and entry. There will also be a live and silent auction. Register online at www.xemplareuchre.com.
