Why go:  begins their Israeli film series this weekend with a showing of I Love You Rosa. The 1972 Academy Award nominated film was directed by Moshé Mizrahi. The film is a romantic drama that tells the story of a young 11 year old boy who according to the Jewish tradition of yibum (Levirate marriage), must marry his brother's spouse on the death of his brother. Rosa, who is the widow, is not interested in remarriage or child-rearing. But as time passes a love story unfolds. Afterwards enjoy a presentation by Professor Howard Lupovitch who will also lead an interactive discussion.
