Weekend Weather in West Bloomfield: Sun, Showers, Snow?

A chance of rain and snow is the forecast Friday before temperatures warm up later in the weekend.

A chilly start to December is in the cards for West Bloomfield residents, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Friday's forecast calls for a chance of snow showers before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of rain showers. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent and the high temperature is expected to top out at 43 degrees. 

According to the NWS, Saturday will offer warmer temperatures and sun, with a high of 51. A slight south wind picks up into Saturday night as high as 13-15 m.p.h., and the chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

On Sunday, expect to see wind gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. and precipitation, as the chances of rainfall will bump up to 60 percent by then. So, be sure to pack a warm sweater and good umbrella if you're headed out to one of several local, holiday events including the Holiday Show for All Holidays or The Messiah by George Frederick Handel.

Looking ahead to your Monday morning commute, it's more of the same: a chance of showers, with a high near 58.
