Weekend Weather: Cold, but Sunny

Winds are also expected to climb as high as 23 mph in West Bloomfield.

Cold weather is expected to continue this weekend, but the sun will be out and it will warm up a bit headed into next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday is expected to be cold and clear. A slight wind shouldn't reach beyond 9 mph, and temperatures should be in the range of 52 degrees before dipping to 31 tonight. If you're going to Redford to watch the Orchard Lake St. Mary's varsity, it'd be a good idea to bring a blanket!

Saturday is expected to be sunny and windy. The high should reach 50 degrees with a south wind between 6-11 mph and gusts reaching as high as 18 mph. It should make for an interesting race at the Michigan International Speedway, as attempt to take the state cross country championship. On Sunday, winds could gust as high as 23 mph, but the temperature is expected to rise to 62 degrees with mostly sun in the forecast. Sunday night is expected to see the temperature drop to 46, while Monday morning offers a high of 56 degrees and a 30 percent chance of showers.
