Weekend Weather: Wet With Strong Winds

Snow and rain showers highlight the weekend.

It's the first weekend in March, but snow will still be sticking around awhile longer, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

Here's a look at the day-by-day forecast:

Friday: There is a chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. on Friday. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent with southeast winds between 10-16 mph. Temperatures are expected to dip from 46 degrees during the day to around 32 degrees Friday night, with snow showers after midnight. Winds are expected to pick up Friday evening and could get as high as 23 mph. No snow accumulation is in the forecast.

Saturday: There is a 20 percent chance snow showers will continue before 7 a.m. Winds will be strong, with southwest winds between 23-26 mph, with a possibility of reaching 39 mph during the day. Winds will calm slightly during the evening. The high temperature for the day is expected to be near 38 degrees with a low of 24.

Sunday: A cloudy day and night will begin your week on Sunday. A high of 32 degrees is anticipated, with a low of 18 degrees.
