What's Open and Closed in West Bloomfield This Thanksgiving

Grocery stores/pharmacies

Run out of cranberries during your Thanksgiving dinner? Need another can of pumpkin pie filling? Or, among all the hubbub, did you forget to buy milk last week? Don't fear, here's what will be open Thanksgiving Day:

Around town

 will be closed Thursday and Friday, reopening at 8 a.m. Monday. For any problems, contact the at 248-975-9200. The  can be reached at 248-409-1540, but for an emergency (or fried turkey accidents), dial 911.

The branch at 6725 Daly Rd. will not be open Thanksgiving Day, nor will there be any mail delivery or pickup. The post office will be open Friday during normal business hours, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

For residents with regular trash pickup on Thursdays and Fridays, pickup will be delayed one day. Both branches of the will be closed from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Friday.

Recreational activities

For those looking for recreational opportunities, the  will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thanksgiving. No youth programs are scheduled for that day. will be open from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. The south wing at the will be open from 7 a.m.-2 p.m., but the CDC, the gallery and the the offices will be closed.

School closings
