Detroit Mayoral Candidates to Speak at Luncheon in West Bloomfield

Mike Duggan and Benny Napoleon will face off Oct. 17, at the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Luncheon.

Detroit mayoral candidates Mike Duggan and Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon will be interviewed by WJBK-TV's Charlie Langton during the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Luncheon Oct. 17, held at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield.

According to a Chamber press release, the annual event "brings together area business leaders and promotes a dialogue focused on improving the state’s economy." The luncheon begins at 11 a.m. with check-in and networking.

The two candidates will discuss their visions for the city of Detroit, including outlook for business, safety/security of business owners and ideas to incubate business expansion within the city. They will also take audience questions.

According to the release, 90 percent of grocery and party stores in Detroit are owned by Chaldeans.
