Almost 4 decades as a touring professional have found Michigan native Claudia Schmidt traversing North America and Europe in venues from intimate clubs to 4,000 seat theatres and 25,000 person folk festivals. She has recorded 14 albums of folk, blues and jazz. Her library concert will be a combination of light jazz and spoken word with a few Claudia Schmidt classics thrown in. Claudia also has one of the best voices in the business. She takes her audiences into her world like a child that discovers the endless universe in a cardboard box. It is about time we have this Michigan jewel at our library.
