Music @ Main Presents Harmonica George

As part of the Music @ Main concert series, The
Friends of the West Bloomfield Twp Public Library will host Harmonica George for
two shows on Sunday, December 8, 2013. The
first performance will begin at 3:00 pm with doors opening at 2:30pm.  The second show will begin at 5:00 pm with
doors opening at 4:30 pm. All shows will be held in the Meeting Room of the
West Bloomfield Public Library, 4600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.  The concert is free.



 



George
Istratoff has been a consummate performer since he first stepped on the stage
at 16 as an original member of the Chuck Stanley “Happy Hour Gang” in
Detroit.   A master on the harmonica,
George plays a repertoire of Dixieland, blues, boogie, ethnic, inspirational,
classics, and novelty tunes.  He has
played locally at the DIA, Macomb Center for Performing Arts, the Roostertail,
and the Redford Theatre.  He has also
played the Lawrence Welk Resort in Branson.

The Friends are
enthusiastic supporters of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library's
services, programs, and materials. For over 60 years, the Friends have fostered
growth of the Library with donations of more than $600,000.
