 A national ICON is coming to West
Bloomfield.   Peter Yarrow- from Peter
Paul and Mary - will be performing a concert at Temple Kol Ami in West
Bloomfield on October 6 at 7:00 PM.   
Peter is best known for writing songs such as “Puff the Magic Dragon”,
“Day is Done”, “Light on Candle”, and “The Great Mandala”.   Many people grew up on the songs of Peter
Paul and Mary, and their concerts frequently attracted 4 generations of
families.

Peter Yarrow is also well known for his
activism on behalf of civil rights and social
justice.    In 1982 he won the Lowenstein
Award for advancing the causes of human rights.    In 2000 he founded Operation Respect to
prevent bullying in schools.   In 2003
Operation Respect was recognized by a Congressional Resolution.
