Jeremy Restaurant Collects Canned Goods for Detroit Charity

Drop off donations at Jeremy Restaurant through Dec. 31.

Jeremy Restaurant in Keego Harbor will, through Dec. 31, collect canned goods to help stock the shelves at Cass Community Social Services in Detroit.

According to a story in The Oakland Press, the charity is especially in need of canned and prepackaged foods that include meat products, like soups and canned tuna or salmon, along with vegetables and fruits.

“We wanted to do this to make donating to CCSS easier,” chef Jeremy Grandon told the newspaper. “If the collection is strong enough, we are looking at expanding the drive. The need doesn’t end with the holiday season."

The restaurant, located at 1978 Cass Lake Rd., will accept donations from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
