October Cheesecake Fundraiser Helps Women Affected by Breast Cancer

Peteet's Famous Cheesecakes will donate a portion of sales from special products to The Pink Fund.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Peteet’s Famous Cheesecakes is partnering with The Pink Fund during the month of October to help women who have been affected by breast cancer.

According to a press release, Peteet’s, which is certified kosher by West Bloomfield-based Kosher Michigan, will donate 20 percent of every pink cheesecake and pink cheesecake push pop purchase to the Metro Detroit based charity. The Pink Fund provides those in active breast cancer treatment with up to 90 days of financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses.

“Breast cancer is a disease that has personally affected me, as I have family members who are survivors, including my mother and aunt,” said Patrick Peteet, owner and founder of the Oak Park-based company. “Everyone at Peteet’s wanted to do something during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to help these women, and we couldn’t think of a better way to do so than to partner with The Pink Fund."

Throughout October, Peteet’s will donate 20 percent of all pink cheesecake and newly launched, pink cheesecake push pop sales to The Pink Fund, including the Strawberry Delight Cheesecake and Strawberry Shortcake Vodka Cheesecake.
