Calcium Supplements Have Been Shown to Increase Heart Risks

Did you know there are documented studies to prove that when you are not taking the right kind of calcium supplements, it can cause plaque buildup in your arteries, kidney and gallbladder?

Calcium supplements taken to increase our bone strength, has been shown to increase the risk of heart attacks by as much as 30%!  How can this be?  There was a study done by the Women’s Health Initiative, which was a 15 year research project started by the National Institutes of Health.  It was started by the departments researching cardiovascular diseases, cancer and osteoporosis.

The findings concluded that if you take calcium supplements, you will build up excess calcium in your system (mostly if you are not absorbing the right kind of calcium for your particular body chemistry), and that can cause plaque in your arteries, kidneys and gallbladder.

It is highly recommended to take trace minerals in a supplement like Magnesium, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Boron, Potassium and Manganese (there are all-in-one’s you can find like this).   This type of formula ensures you will get all the bone boosting effects you are looking for in the best way for proper absorption.  An ionic form, whose electrical charge helps bond minerals with water, makes the nutrients become best for absorption, giving better balance of the specific ingredients you are looking for in your supplement.

Another form of calcium product that I recommend is a tablet form containing a sea based calcium (ideal also for more acidic pH types) by New Chapter, calledCa Bone Strength Take Care which also has these specific minerals listed above in it as well.
