Your Guides to Gluten-Free Cooking

Conquer the challenges of a gluten-free diet with fabulous recipes and nutrition tips. The pros will show you the way!

If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, you are probably all too familiar with the challenges that accompany it.  It’s difficult, especially for those who have recently been diagnosed, to make the transition to a gluten-free diet and find recipes and foods that satisfy.  You are not alone; Busch’s Fresh Food Market and Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital want to share nutritional knowledge and perfect recipes to get you started (or keep you going) in your conversion to gluten-free eating and cooking!

Busch’s is excited to welcome Chef Robert Hindley of Henry’s, a unique café located within Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, which offers gourmet food options made with healthy ingredients (like fresh produce from HFWBH’s organic greenhouse).  Prior to Henry’s, Chef Hindley spent years honing his craft and culinary love at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples and later as Sous Chef of The Grill Room at The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn.  After 14 years with The Ritz-Carlton, Robert went on to become the Executive Chef for 13 years at an Italian American Grill in Livingston County.

On Thursday, May 30th, Chef Robert Hindley will be bringing his immense culinary knowledge and mouthwatering gluten-free recipes (like Quinoa Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms with Pine Nuts and Raisins) to Busch’s of West Bloomfield as he leads the Guiltless and Gluten-Free live cooking demonstration!  Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital dietitian, Shawna Broida, will be joining Chef Hindley during the cooking class to offer nutritional tips and answer your questions.  With their insight combined, you’ll gain an abundance of gluten-free ideas to keep meals creative in your kitchen.
