Car, Snowmobiles, Tools Stolen
Here are highlights of incidents reported to West Bloomfield Police from Feb. 15-22.
West Bloomfield Police are looking for the person who reportedly took a trailer with two 2011 red Ski-Doo Expedition snowmobiles parked in it from the 7900 block of Locklin between 5-10:45 p.m. Sunday. There were no footprints; fresh snow had fallen that night. The trailer, a black, 23-foot Lightning, is distinctive for lightning bolts painted on the sides.
Hyundai stolen from driveway
A 2007 white Hyundai Sante Fe, valued at $16,000, was reported stolen from the 5000 block of North Piccadilly Circle, police said. The complainant told police he had parked the car in his driveway around 10:30 p.m. Friday, and although he said he had heard a noise around 2 a.m., he didn’t realize that his car was gone until 9:30 a.m. There was no broken glass or signs of forced entry in the driveway.
Tools missing from foreclosed home
Tools valued at $1,400 were reported stolen from a foreclosed Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) house in the 5000 block of Hardwoods Drive between 4 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A man who had been working alone in the vacant house to repair holes in the ceilings told police that someone took two orange DynaGlobe kerosene heaters, a Milwaukee drill and a Milwaukee impact wrench.
