Cell Phone Stolen Last Month in West Bloomfield Turns Up in Farmington

According to police, the phone's owner had not reported the theft.

West Bloomfield Township Police found a stolen cell phone this week, even though the woman who owned it never reported the theft.

According to Lieutenant Tim Diamond, the Samsung flip phone was taken during an Oct. 5 grand opening celebration at Huerto restaurant on Orchard Lake Road. It disappeared after the owner left it sitting on a table.

Surveillance officers who were checking a website learned the phone had been pawned by a known larceny suspect at We Buy and Sell It All in Farmington. The case remains under investigation, Diamond said.
