Jewelry, Crystal, Silver Taken in West Bloomfield Break-in

Items were taken from a home and a business during incidents early this week.

A West Bloomfield resident in the 5000 block of Arrowhead called police Wednesday afternoon, after discovering a daytime break-in.

According to West Bloomfield Township Police Lieutenant Tim Diamond, the front door had been pried open some time after the resident left home at 10 a.m. Jewelry, Waterford crystal and sterling silver were taken; the resident planned to do an inventory to determine the full extent of the loss, he said.

On Tuesday, employees who opened a business in the 6000 block of West Maple discovered three flat screen television sets missing. Diamond said the business had closed at 4 p.m. on Monday, and there was no sign of forced entry.

Police have no suspects in either case.
