Novi Pediatrician Pleads No Contest, Sentencing Date Set

A West Bloomfield Township resident charged with criminal sexual conduct has entered a "no contest" plea to three lesser charges. 

Jeffrey Lee Dembs, 61, formerly a pediatrician at My Kid's Doc in Novi, was initially charged in December of 2012 with one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, all with a person younger than 13. Those counts have been dismissed. 


The plea was entered during a pretrial hearing in Oakland County Circuit Court Monday.  

Documents obtained by Patch under the Freedom of Information Act outlined allegations made by a teenaged boy about more than 70 incidents involving sexual contact that occurred between 2009 and 2010.

Dembs is expected to face sentencing on Sept. 24.
