Oakland County Sheriffs Arrest West Bloomfield Home Invasion Suspects

The following information was provided by the West Bloomfield Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A home on the 6900 block of Walnut Lake Road was allegedly looted by at least three people who are now in custody, according to West Bloomfield Police Lt. Tim Diamond.

The home invasion, which occurred between 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, began when a doorwall was smashed in, Diamond said Tuesday. The victims said that at least two men's suits, assorted jewelry, two generators, four handguns, four long guns and $30,000 cash had been stolen, in addition to a credit card, which was later found to have been used at Champs Sports at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills, Diamond said.

Those purchases would later help police identify the suspects, as police were able to match a description of those using the credit card with surveillance footage, Diamond said.

In an unrelated incident, Diamond said, an Oakland County Sheriff's Department deputy pulled over a gold-colored GMC Jimmy with four passengers coming out of a Meijer parking lot in Commerce Township around 11 p.m. that night. That the deputy identified three of the four suspects in the vehicle, along with items that were taken in the home invasion, Diamond said.

The deputy arrested the three suspects: a 34-year-old female Pontiac resident, a 28-year-old man from White Lake and a 39-year-old male Waterford resident.
