The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following from the day shift on Saturday through the midnight shift on Sunday:
18:02 hours, death investigation in Commerce Township (No. 14- 86023)
Deputies and the Commerce Twp. Fire Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Meadow Circle Drive for an unresponsive subject. The mother-in law discovered the victim, cold and not breathing after seeing him a couple hours before.
Deputies discovered a self-inflicted gunshot wound with the weapon on the floor next to the bed. A detective and Medical Examiners’ investigator were called, along with Narcotics Enforcement Team detective due to the discovery of numerous marijuana plants in the home. The Medical Examiner investigator took custody of the deceased. The investigation is continuing.
The victim is a 46-year-old Commerce Twp. resident.

10:15 hours, crash investigation assist, city of Keego Hrbor, (No. 14-85179)
The Keego Harbor Police Department responded to the scene of a car versus pedestrian injury accident on Cass Lake Rd., near Stapleton. The Keego Harbor Police Department requested the assistance of the OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit to assist in their investigation.
The pedestrian was transported to McLaren-Oakland for treatment of his injuries. Keego Harbor Police Department will handle any media inquiries .
21:49 Hrs. - City of Rochester Hills - Assist to Rochester Hills Fire Department (No. 14-85552)
Deputies were dispatched to the Great Oaks Country Club located in the 700 block of Great Oaks Boulevard for a dumpster fire. Upon arrival a noxious odor was found to be emanating from the burning dumpster leading Rochester Hills FD to believe the source of the fire was chemical. RHFD contacted the Oakland County Hazmat Team.The Oakland County Hazmat Team arrived and took control of the scene. RHFD will handle the investigation and any media inquiries. There were no injuries were reported.
