Orchard Lake Man Faces Charges After Sleeping Bear Dunes Incident

Authorities are expected to issue formal charges against Daniel Gerard Elliott on Wednesday.

A 50-year-old Orchard Lake man remains in the Emmett County Jail in northern Michigan on $10,000 bond, after he and his children were the subject of a 12-hour search in and around Sleeping Bear Dunes Monday.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Daniel Gerard Elliott will be formally charged on Wednesday. County Sheriff Peter Wallin told the newspaper that Elliott's wife was “forced out of the family vehicle by her husband".
