Rifle Stolen During West Bloomfield Break-in

Detectives are also investigating the theft of cash and jewelry from a home on Fairbrook Drive.

West Bloomfield Police are investigating the theft of a rifle from a home in the 4000 block of Blackburn Drive, reported Dec. 29. 

According to Lieutenant Curt Lawson, the homeowner's daughter discovered the break-in at around 2:30 p.m., when she went to check on the house. The case has been turned over to detectives, Lawson said. 

The department is also investigating the Dec. 23 theft of cash, diamond and gold earrings, 1930 silver dollars, a diamond necklace and a wedding band from a home in the 6000 block of Fairbrook Drive. 

Lawson said the homeowner returned at around 9:30 p.m. that day to find someone had thrown a brick through a sliding glass door at the back of the home.
