The incident began when the man was arrested around 4 a.m. that morning after being pulled over for disobeying a traffic signal and later tested for driving with a blood alcohol content between .02-.08, Diamond said. The man was arrested under the state's "zero tolerance" law, which keeps those ages 18-21 from imprisonment on a first offense for testing below .08.

However, the man became unruly while in custody and kicked in a pane of "pretty thick" glass before being subdued without injury to anyone, Diamond said.

The man was released later that morning after posting bond. He's being charged by police for the traffic and alcohol violations, in addition, he faces a charge of malicious destruction of property for breaking the glass, Diamond said. The severity of his final charge will be dependent on the cost of replacing the glass.
