Shots Fired after Domestic Dispute; No One Hit

The following information was provided by the West Bloomfield Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

reports from Aug. 30-Sept. 6 revealed 95 alarms, 24 crashes and 16 arrests. Among the highlights:

3 rounds fired into woman's tires

Homeowners near the 5500 block of Royalwood drive reported hearing three handgun shots around 11:24 a.m. Friday., according to Police Lt. Tim Diamond.

The West Bloomfield Police Department then received a phone call from a 31-year-old West Bloomfield resident, who said he purposefully firing three bullets into three tires on his girlfriend's vehicle in the driveway following a domestic dispute. She was in the vehicle.

The man went into police custody peacefully, while the woman, a 29-year-old from Farmington Hills, left the house. She was later found at a tire shop in Farmington, Diamond said.

The man was "very cooperative" and he might have a concealed license permit, Diamond said. The case was turned over to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office, who ordered the man released pending further investigation by WBPD.

"It was a he said-she said domestic dispute and they want us to figure out what happened," Diamond said.
