Thieves Hit Open Vehicles in West Bloomfield

Police say drugs, cash and other items were taken between Aug. 25 and Aug. 28.

West Bloomfield Township Police are investigating two thefts from vehicles that occurred in late August. 

Lieutenant Tim Diamond said someone took 28 oxycodone tablets and $100 in cash from a vehicle that was left parked in a garage in the 4000 block of Forbush. The incident occurred during the night between Aug. 25 and 26. 

A resident in the 1000 block of Windside reported a wallet he left on the seat of his parked vehicle was taken during the night between Aug. 27 and 28. Credit cards, a pair of sunglasses and $50 cash were taken. 

Diamond said both residents told police their vehicles were left open.
