Watch: Police Dash-Cam Video of Man from 'Planet Zoltron' Charging Cruiser

Authorities said Calquan Dion Burr appeared to be under the influence of mind-altering drugs and a witness said he was talking "gibberish" before he charged a police cruiser.

A Michigan sheriff’s deputy had a close encounter of a very different kind when a shirtless man who later claimed to be from the planet Zoltron charged his cruiser with a 4-foot metal pipe in his hand.

Muskegon County Deputy Thomas Johnson had no time to react, MLive/The Muskegon Chronicle reports, and the man police described as possibly “under the influence of mind-altering drugs,” ended up on the deputy’s windshield, bounced off and walked away, apparently uninjured.

Johnson was responding to a call about a prowler in vicinity of the 3000 block of Duff Avenue in Dalton Township about 11 p.m Sunday when the man, later identified as Calquan Dion Burr, charged the vehicle.

The deputy’s dashboard camera captured the whole thing.

Lt. Shane Brown of the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department said Johnson could not have avoided hitting Burr, who suffered only minor abrasions, The Lansing State Journal reports.

“The officers rounds the corner and it is dark out ... The guy is already running at the car. He almost had zero time to respond ...” Brown said.

When police questioned Burr, he claimed to be from the planet Zoltron, WOOD-TV reports.

Deputies said a witness who was talking to Burr before police arrived said he was talking “gibberish and could not be understood” and was “talking about seeing blue orbits,” MLive/The Muskegon Chronicle said.

Burr was subdued with a stun gun and taken into custody. Police expected to arraign him on charges of malicious destruction of property, damaging police property, assault and other charges Thursday. At the time of his arrest, authorities discovered he had two outstanding warrants, one for failing to register as a sex offender, according to reports.
