She will provide an update on Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) projects and major initiatives.  The MEDC recently launched Pure Michigan Business Connect, a marketplace that provides opportunities for Michigan businesses to buy and sell to one another.  Amy leads the Interdepartmental Collaboration Committee (ICC) for Governor Snyder.  The ICC is working to build collaboration across state government, and implement solutions and new approaches that further economic development and placemaking at the state and local level.

The Business Ombudsman office works to improve business perception and relationships with state government by solving problems, improving state government functions that impact business, and facilitating and encouraging efforts of Michigan businesses to work together. A major initiative of the Ombudsman office is the Interdepartmental Collaboration Committee (ICC). The ICC identifies and develops opportunities for state departments to work together to maximize the value and impact of state government activities and to become a better partner with local government, the private sector, and regional development organizations across Michigan that promote and invest in economic development and placemaking.
Amy has served in multiple roles at the MEDC, including business incentive packaging, business development, and enterprise software implementation. Through her work at the MEDC she has assisted hundreds of businesses with their expansion plans. Her project portfolio includes major automotive manufacturers, alternative energy businesses, life science companies, and other high technology firms.
Prior to coming to the MEDC, Amy held accounting and finance positions in the automotive and life sciences industries, most notably at Federal-Mogul Corporation and Schering-Plough Corporation. She holds a bachelor of science in accounting and business administration from Aquinas College.
