Family

My entire family resides in West Bloomfield Township. I have 3 boys, Michael (28), Joshua (26) and Drew (20).

Activities or key endorsements you'd like to mention?

Over the years I have worked hard in support of many candidates. Some of whom serve us on the Township Board today.

I have also been a volunteer with the Lighthouse Emergency Services for 14 years. I am the general donations coordinator for the Lighthouse Holiday Adopt a family program. Last year as a team we helped over 700 families in need of basic necessities to live.

I also spearheaded a group of West Bloomfield citizens to assure the safety and placement of the Lily Substation project.

Why are you running for Trustee?

I have been involved in many community events and care deeply about improving West Bloomfield Township. My professional background as a registered nurse (14 years) has taught me the importance of team work and paying attention to detail, two of many qualities I possess that can be easily transitioned into the government sector to the advantage of our township.

Each trustee needs to be able to bring something to the table. I have the ability to compromise and focus on the issues at hand. Most importantly, I have the integrity to help make every decision with only the best intent for West Bloomfield Township in mind.

Do you have new ideas you’d like to suggest for the position or township?

One paramount suggestion I would like to implement is making sure West Bloomfield Township is run like a well-oiled machine, by studying current market trends and accepting bids for current and all future government-works and projects. I would like the West Bloomfield citizens to be assured that our tax dollars are being utilized properly and to its full potential.

I would also like to  find ways to improve the response time to our resident concerns. If elected, I plan to see a computer software program developed to track and log complaints, insuring every individual citizens voice can be heard without fail. Another suggestion I would implement to avoid skepticism and assumptions would be to implement an online transaction-statement page with detailed, undisclosed budgetary information that can be accessed by anyone visiting the official West Bloomfield Township home page.

What do you think are the biggest issues facing the township? How would you handle them?

I am faced with many issues as a Candidate for West Bloomfield Board of Trustees. I have been a part of the West Bloomfield Community since 1973. I have seen many board members come and go. Today I recognize the need on the West Bloomfield Board for a Trustee who will close the gap that now exists between the majority of the board and a small minority.

As a registered nurse I have the ability to implement and know the importance of team work. I have a mind of my own and may disagree but I know how crucial compromising  and working as a team is to decision making. In summary the lack of these qualities in the dissenting few on the West Bloomfield Board has inspired me to raise my level of involvement.
