Longtime Orchard Lake Middle School Teacher Has New Assignment

Scott Long, a teacher at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield for the past 10 years, has been named the school's assistant principal.

According to a West Bloomfield School District press release, one of Long's current assignments is teaching in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) college preparatory program. He is well respected by students, staff and parents and is highly committed to West Bloomfield and his work with students and staff.

“Scott has spent the last 10 years here and will leave a very large void in our teaching staff," principal Morrison Borders said. "However, I am confident the great things Scott did in his class will translate to the entire student population as his sphere of influence grows."
