NFL Airs Video Highlighting Walled Lake 'Warriors for Warriors' Game

A video profiling the school's breast cancer awareness and fundraising event aired during Sunday NFL Games.

The National Football League recognized Walled Lake Western High School's annual "Warriors for Warriors" drive Sunday, airing a short video about the school-wide breast cancer awareness program during televised football games.

The school's third annual event was held Sept. 20, with the football team donning pink jerseys for their Pink-Out game against the Walled Lake Northern Knights. Pink t-shirts provided fans entry to the game and a pre-game parade and ceremony honored cancer survivors.

Warriors for Warriors raises funds for Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, St. Baldrick's Foundation for Pediatric Cancer and Coaches vs. Cancer in association with the American Cancer Society.
