Seahawks Wish Granted for Walled Lake Schools Student

Kevin Lee's inspiring story will air on ESPN's Sportscenter at 11 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Kevin Lee, a Walled Lake Consolidated Schools seventh-grader took a dream trip with his family to Seattle, WA earlier this summer, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Geisler Middle School student has had four open-heart surgeries, due to a congenital heart condition. His mother contacted Make-A-Wish Foundation and learned that his life-threatening condition made Kevin eligible to submit his wish: to play football with Russell Wilson, quarterback with the Seattle Seahawks.

Kevin’s inspiring story and visit with the Seattle Seahawks will air on ESPN’s Sportscenter at 11 p.m. on Aug. 17 and throughout the day on Aug. 18.

“Make-a-Wish, the Seattle Seahawks and even the personnel at our hotel far exceeded any expectations we may have had," said Kevin's mother, Dawn Lee. "They told Kevin, when he was thinking of his wish, to really reach for the stars and he did. They gave him what he asked for and more than he could have ever conceived. We are truly grateful for this once in a lifetime experience!”
