Walled Lake Central Student Arin Amin Aces ACT

Amin has also scored 5s on all of his Advanced Placement course exams.

The Walled Lake Consolidated School District this week recognized Arin Amin for earning a perfect score of 36 on his ACT college entrance exam.

Amin, a student at Walled Lake Central High School, is the son of Arti and Tushar Amin. He is undecided on his choice of college, but plans to apply to the University of Michigan, as well as several other prestigious schools throughout the country. Amin plans to pursue a degree in medicine or business.

While attending Walled Lake Central, Amin has enrolled in seven Advanced Placement courses and plans to take six more during his senior year. He has earned 5s on all of his AP exams.

Outside the classroom, Amin is a member of the varsity tennis and ski teams, Spanish Club, National Honor Society, and Quiz Bowl. He also regularly volunteers at a local hospital and has earned a medal in the Kensington Lake Activities Association Math and Science Olympics the last two years.

"Arin Amin is most likely the most exceptional student I have worked with," said Dr. Maryjo Hecker, counselor at Walled Lake Central High School. "His desire and ability to do well are outstanding. The most fascinating aspect about him is his humble approach and the appreciation he shows for all who work with him."
