Walled Lake Central Students Present 'You Can't Take It With You'

The show on stage Dec. 5-7 involves more than 80 students in the cast and crew.

More than 80 students are involved in Walled Lake Central High School Performing Arts Department's production of You Can’t Take it With You, on stage Dec. 5-7, with performances at 7:30 p.m.
 
Students in leading roles include: Hannah Shuman as Alice Sycamore; Nikita Krylov as Tony Kirby; Mitch Dobson-Green as Grandpa/Martin Vanderhof; and Max Elkiss as Mr. Kirby.
 
You Can’t Take It With You takes place in the home of Martin Vanderhof, the gentle patriarch of a seemingly nutty, but loving family during the waning years of the Great Depression. Alice Sycamore, Martin's granddaughter, falls in love with Tony Kirby, the son of a Wall Street banker. When the Kirbys show up for dinner on the wrong night, the engagement is broken, but Grandpa is able to set everything right by reminding Mr. Kirby that "you can’t take it with you”.
