Walled Lake Western Band Members Win U.S. Army Honors

Harrison Seltzer, Hailee Perrett and Michael Perry will perform with the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band at the 2014 Alamo Bowl.

Walled Lake Western marching band members Harrison Seltzer, tenor saxophone, Hailee Perrett, color guard and Michael Perry, trumpet, have been selected for the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

Selection was based solely on auditions. The trio will be performing with the band on January 4, 2014 at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, TX. 
 
Harrison Seltzer, the son of Marian Keidan and Phillip Seltzer, plans to attend either the University of Michigan or Michigan State University to study Pre-Med. He is also a member of the Walled Lake Central Jazz Band and National Honor Society.
 
Hailee Perrett, the daughter of Dawn and Fred Perrett, plans to attend either the University of Michigan or Michigan State University to study Biomedical Engineering or Biochemistry. She is also a member of the Winter Guard at Walled Lake Central, National Honor Society and has a part-time job.
 
Michael Perry, the son of Debra and Wayne Perry, plans to attend either the University of Michigan or Michigan State University to student Engineering. He is also a member of Walled Lake Central Band, Choir and Technical Crew as well as the National Honor Society.
 
“I am so proud of Hailee, Harrison, and Michael," band director Dave Rogers said. "They are all tremendously talented performers and more importantly, they are wonderful people. They continually represent the ideal in terms of balancing great performance skills and academics, along with being great leaders and teammates."
