Walled Lake Western Senior Twirls Her Way to Peru

Nicole Harris is one of 12 USA Twirling Ambassadors who will travel to South America Sept. 18.

Nicole Harris, a senior at Walled Lake Western High School, was recently named as one of 12 USA Twirling Ambassadors to Peru.
 
On Sept. 18, she will travel to Trujillo, Peru, where she will spend two weeks twirling at the District's Annual Spring Festival. The USA delegation will entertain the crowds and will perform for various charitable groups, including boys' and girls' orphanages.
 
Nicole is the reigning Teenage Miss Majorette of Michigan and has dedicated over 11 years training with the Twirl-M's. She is in her final year as a majorette with the Western Warrior Marching Band. 
 
Nicole is the second twirler selected from the Walled Lake Consolidated School District; Moriah Muscaro was appointed in 2010.
