West Bloomfield Area Schools Remain Closed for Wednesday

The National Weather Service wind chill warning remains in effect through early Wednesday morning.

As wind chills and temperatures remain at dangerous levels, school districts serving the West Bloomfield area have announced they'll remain closed again on Wednesday.

West Bloomfield Public Schools, Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, Farmington Public Schools and Bloomfield Hills Schools have all cancelled classes.

This marks the fifth consecutive weather-related closure for West Bloomfield Public Schools. Students were due to return on Jan. 2.

The National Weather Service forecasts a blast of Arctic air that will bring southeast Michigan the coldest temperatures and wind chills "in perhaps 20 years." The wind chill warning remains in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday.
