Battle for Bloomfield II

Andover won the initial 'Battle for Bloomfield' with a 59-48 win over cross-district rival Lahser at a special game at the O'rena on the Oakland University campus in January. The results the second time around weren't much different. Andover beneffited from a 13-0 spurt at the start of the second half and consistent shooting from its top two scorers to win 53-46 in the first round of the playoffs at Marian High School.

Wilson nearly posted a quadruple-double Monday evening, going for another stuffed stat line of 23 points, 11 steals, eight assists and eight rebounds, according to MiPrepzone.com.

The Lady Knights closed within 9 points late in the fourth quarter, but a jumper by Rachel Rea (14 points) put the game out of reach.

“This was the last time we were ever going to face Lahser, our biggest rivals, and I wanted to make sure we’d be keeping the bragging rights,” Wilson, the star junior point guard told MiPrepzone.com after the game. “They were after us good and we weathered the storm."

Suzanne Miller led Lahser with 18 points. The Lady Knights finished (8-13) and lost their final three games of the season after their record-setting run of their own.
