Warriors for Warriors, Walled Lake Western High School's effort to raise awareness and funds for cancer charities, will deliver three checks for $13,000 to cancer charities during a Jan. 24 Pink Out basketball game.

The game will start at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $5 at the door. Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to donate.

The check presentations to Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, American Cancer Society and Lakes Area St. Baldrick's Foundation will be made at half-time.

Each fall, Warriors for Warriors hosts a Pink Out football game, at which members of the community not only come to support the team on the field, but to show support and raise money for those in the community who have been affected by cancer.
