Officials Vote on Benefit Bonds and More This Week in West Bloomfield

Officials say the bonds could save the township millions in future benefit and pension costs.

Tonight, West Bloomfield Township trustees will vote to issue bonds that are expected to save taxpayers millions of dollars on future pension and benefit liabilities. 

Here's more information about the meeting, as well as other events on the Patch calendar:

1. Township board meeting

Officials take up their agenda Monday at 7 p.m. In addition to the benefit bonds, they will discuss setting their own pay and expanding the annual audit to include "irregularities" in the treasurer's office. See the full agenda on the township website

3. Personal protection class
