Hear a DSO Quartet and More This Week in West Bloomfield

Listen to music and celebrate with a local restaurant.

A Detroit Symphony Quartet will play a concert this week at a West Bloomfield assisted living facility, and the public is invited to attend. 

Here's information about this and other events happening this week: 

1. Detroit Symphony Orchestra quartet concert

A Detroit Symphony Orchestra string quartet will perform at Regent Street of West Bloomfield Assisted Living on Tuesday at 3 p.m. A meet-and-greet with the musicians follows. To RSVP for this free event, call 248-683-1010. 

2. Huerto Ribbon Cutting

This new restaurant serves a blend of creative southwestern and traditional Mexican cuisine. Celebrate their opening on Wednesday with this Greater West Bloomfield Chamber event. For information or to RSVP, call 248-651-4858.

3. Mediterranean diet workshop

A Botsford registered dietitian leads this Wednesday, 6 p.m., workshop at Busch's Fresh Food Market. Included: a Mediterranean diet overview, how to create your own Mediterranean kitchen and a small cooking demo. For tickets, stop by the Service counter, or call 248-539-4581.

4. Music on the Patio

Sin Hielo, featuring Sean Blackman and Wayne Gerard, performs Brazilian and Latin Jazz on the patio outside Henry's Café at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Rain location is the atrium. There's no charge.
