Lily Tomlin Headlines Fundraiser in West Bloomfield

The one night show at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts benefits Beaumont Health System's Digestive Health Center of Excellence.

Comedienne Lily Tomlin will perform Saturday at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts to benefit a Beaumont Hospital center that helps people with Crohn's disease and colitis. 

Here are details about that event and other West Bloomfield weekend activities:

1. Playing to Win book signing

Hilary Levey Friedman, Ph.D., a 1998 Marian High School graduate, will read from her book at Barnes & Noble, 6800 Orchard Lake Rd., on Friday, 6 p.m. Playing to Win examines the world of children's extra-curricular activities. 

2. An Evening with Lily Tomlin

This one-night performance Saturday by native Detroiter Lily Tomlin benefits Beaumont Health System’s Digestive Health Center of Excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of Crohn’s and colitis. Purchase tickets or learn more at theberman.org or by calling 248-661-1900.

3. Music @ Main: North Oakland Dixie Band

The Friends of the West Bloomfield Twp Public Library will host two shows with this group on Sunday, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Main Library at 4600 Walnut Lake Rd. The band performs Dixieland and Swing music from the years 1900 to 1960.
