Stuff the Truck at Whole Foods and More This Weekend in West Bloomfield

Donations will go to the organizations served by Forgotten Harvest.

West Bloomfield area residents have an opportunity this weekend to help those in need before the holiday season gets underway. 

Here's information about the Whole Foods drive and other events on the Patch calendar

1. Stuff the Truck: Whole Foods & Forgotten Harvest

Volunteers will be present from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Whole Foods, 7350 Orchard Lake Rd. in West Bloomfield, to collect food that will be distributed to Forgotten Harvest's network of over 280 agencies in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Whole Foods will also host its holiday tasting event starting at noon. 

2. Bagels & Basics Program

Temple Kol Ami, 5085 Walnut Lake Rd. in West Bloomfield, hosts Debra Darvick, author of The Jewish Life, Stories of Discovery, Connection and Joy, on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Darvick will talk about “Eight Teachings for Following your Dreams”. For information, call 248-661-0040.

3. Jewish Community Center Book Fair closes

Michael Feinstein closes out the Book Fair on Sunday, with an intimate conversation about his book, The Gershwins & Me: a Personal History in Twelve Songs. For a complete list of authors, dates and times, visit jccdet.org/bookfair
