I received a scented candle as a gift from this store. I brought it back with the gift receipt attached so that I could exchange it for another scent. I did not bring the item back in of a bag, but instead carried it in and walked directly to the register. The employee at the register accused me of taking one off the shelf and trying to exchange it with a gift receipt I already had. She then told me that she would call the police and that if it was truly a gift, I would have brought it back in the original gift bag. I tried to explain that the gift was wrapped and did not come in a gift bag and that she was welcome to call the police. I then asked for a manager. The manager exchanged the item for me. Terrible experience!

The sales associate immediately told me she could do nothing for me, because the items were final sale. I asked her where it stated that these items were final sale, because there was nothing of the sort on the receipt or anywhere in the store. Jackie called the manager, and after a short convo w the manager, I was told I could have store credit. Jackie starts to ring me up for store credit, and she points out that actually my order was taken 32 days ago, not 30, so actually, she is not going to do the return. "Why did I lie to the manager?" "I bet you didn't tell her THAT, now did you?" Jackie asked. I replied that I was not aware that this order was over 30 days. I knew I bought the items at the end of Feb, and that this was coming close to the end of Mar. If you asked me today's date, I couldn't tell you. I pulled out my calander on my phone to double check. Jackie calls her manager back and says to her that I lied and there is no reason for the return because it was over 30 days ago. As Jackie continues to dismiss me, I remember something I read earlier on the bottom of my receipt. I show her the bottom of one of my receipts.. it reads: We stand behind the quality of our product. If you are not completely satisfied, return it within 90 days. Jackie becomes silent, and says reluctantly.. I can give you store credit. I said ok. She rang me up, suddenly with less attitude and with customer service. One last thing.. Did I mention Jackie was training a new employee that day?
