My mother and I walked into Slades intending to make a purchase on 6/9/12 and the 2 employees who helped me out were outright rude. One employee answered simple questions like, "How much is gift-wrapping?" in a snappy manner. They also talked loudly about a past-due credit that I had in such a rude manner that the whole store could hear them, trying to embarrass us. Mind you, I was being overly polite and understanding. They made us wait for over 10 minutes at one point so that they could gossip, rather loudly, with another group of employees. My mom and I just stood there in disbelief. Also, when I was leaving, I mentioned that the customer service could use improvement. I told them, nicely, it had nothing to do with the past-due credit, it was the attitude. One employee told me "you know what?!" and after I asked, "what?" she said "You need to look in the mirror" with a snarky growl. She could not back-up her comment. I left reminding them that, I, was indeed the customer.
