Sylvan Lake Lutheran Church is located on the south side of Figa Ave., near the intersection of Orchard Lake and Middlebelt roads. The church offers a traditional service, fellowship, and Sunday Bible study for children and youths, and an adult fellowship hour during the children's Bible study, in addition to evening services during Advent and Lent.

The church also hosts community gatherings, including senior exercise classes, Alcoholics Anonymous, blood drives, flu shot clinics, health screenings, grief support, and city and subdivision meetings. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009, and provides a quiet place to meditate in its memorial garden, built in 2003.
